Terms and Conditions for EM Holistic Therapies

1. Introduction

Welcome to EM Holistic Therapies. By booking a service with Ellen at EM Holistic Therapies, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These terms are designed to ensure a clear and professional therapeutic relationship for the benefit of both the client and the practitioner.

2. About the Services

EM Holistic Therapies offers holistic therapies, including Reflexology, Ayurvedic Consultations, and Yoga. These therapies are complementary and not a substitute for conventional medical care or diagnosis. The practitioner does not diagnose, prescribe medication, or offer medical advice. Always consult a GP or other healthcare professional for medical attention and advice.

3. Client Responsibility

As a client, you agree to:

Complete a health questionnaire and consultation form prior to the first treatment.
Provide accurate and true medical and personal information to the best of your knowledge.
Provide updates regarding any changes to your health, medication, or medical concerns throughout the treatment.
Not be under the influence of alcohol or non-prescription drugs at the time of your appointment.
Wear appropriate clothing for reflexology and yoga sessions.

4. Booking and Payment

Booking: Appointments can be booked through the website or directly. By booking, you confirm acceptance of these terms.
Payment: Payment is due at the time of booking to secure the appointment. Accepted payment methods include bank transfer or online card payment via the booking system.
Pricing: Prices for services are listed on the EM Holistic Therapies website and are subject to change without notice.

5. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

Client Cancellation: Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged the full price of the treatment.
Client Rescheduling: If you need to reschedule, please provide more than 24 hours' notice. Appointments can be rescheduled once free of charge.
No-Shows: Failure to attend an appointment without any prior notice will result in the full payment being non-refundable.
Therapist Cancellation: In the unlikely event that an appointment needs to be cancelled or postponed, as much notice as possible will be given. A full refund or the option to reschedule will be offered.

6. Confidentiality and Data Protection

Confidentiality: All client information and sessions are strictly confidential. Client details will not be discussed with any third party without prior consent, except where required by law.
Data Protection: Personal information is collected and stored in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Data is used for treatment purposes and record-keeping only and is held securely. By completing a consultation form, you consent to this data storage. 7. Professional Conduct

The practitioner is a qualified and insured practitioner and abides by the Code of Conduct of a professional body (Association of Reflexologists)
The right to terminate a treatment at any time is reserved if a client is physically or verbally abusive, or demonstrates inappropriate or aggressive behaviour.
Treatments will be tailored to individual needs to provide maximum benefit. The practitioner will check in with clients during the session to ensure comfort. If any discomfort is experienced, inform the practitioner immediately.

8. Gift Vouchers

Gift vouchers are available for all treatments and are non-refundable.
They are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
Gift vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash.

9. Limitation of Liability

EM Holistic Therapies will not be held responsible for any loss or damage to personal belongings during a visit. Clients are advised to leave valuables at home.
The therapies provided by EM Holistic Therapies are not a substitute for medical advice or treatment. By receiving a service, you agree to take full responsibility for your own health and wellbeing during and after the session. EM Holistic Therapies shall not be held liable for any adverse reactions, injuries, or consequences resulting from a client's failure to disclose relevant health information, follow advice from a medical professional, or disregard these terms.
Indirect Damages: In no event shall EM Holistic Therapies be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the services provided.

10. Age Restriction

All clients must be 18 years of age or older to receive treatments without a parent or guardian present. For clients aged 16-18, a parent or guardian must provide written consent and be present during the entire treatment. For clients under 16 years of age a parent or guardian must be present throughout.

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

12. Intellectual Property

Ownership: All intellectual property rights, including but not limited to copyrights, logos, and trademarks, in all content provided by EM Holistic Therapies—such as website content, blog posts, course materials, and any handouts or bespoke wellness plans—are owned by
